DIY No Sew BoHo: Quick and Easy Way to Transform An Old Tee-Shirt

GOT AN OLD TEE-SHIRT?  DON’T THROW IT AWAY, TRANSFORM IT!  IN THIS DIY TUTORIAL, WE’LL SHOW YOU A QUICK AND EASY WAY TO MAKE A COOL, BOHEMIAN, HIPPIE SHIRT THAT SEEMS TO BE ALL THE RAGE IN FASHION THESE DAYS.

All you need for this project is: an old shirt, scissors, an old brush, bleach, and the great outdoors.

Pour a little bleach into a throw away container and, using your brush, paint the bleach onto the shirt to give it a painterly look (you can lay the shirt flat to do this). The bleach color will vary depending on the color of your shirt. Let the shirt dry in a well ventilated area, like outside.

Cut the hem on the bottom of the shirt off so the shirt will stretch more.

Begin cutting the bottom of the shirt into strips about 1/2" to 1", depending on how thick you want the strips to be

Stretch each cut piece away from the shirt so that they curl up.

Now it should look like this. You can twist the shredded fabric to make them even smaller.

Now you can cut the neckline for that off-the-shoulder look. Cut just under the seam because the shirt will stretch with time. If your neckline is really small, you can cut a little more off.

Now all you have left to do is wear it!
